The members of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 60 Bangor Street, Augusta, are pleased to welcome the Rev. David Matson as their new Vicar. Father Matson attended the Episcopal Divinity School and graduated from Virginia Seminary in 1998. He was ordained the same year. In September 2009 he married Jessica Gorton. He is the father of one daughter, Rachel. Father Matson has taught at Bangor Seminary, community colleges, and will offer an on-line class on William Blake at the University of Maine-Augusta starting in the fall. He also offers private instruction in biblical Hebrew or Greek.
